19mm Coin depicting Jupiter driving a four-horse chariot in Republican Rome. Very shiny silver, looks like a newly minted coin! Republican Rome Q. Curtius Silver Denarius 115-116 BC. Jupiter in galloping Quadriga facing right on one side and Helmeted head of Roma facing right on the other side. In Roman mythology, Jupiter held the same role as Zeus in the Greek pantheon. He was called Jupiter Optimus Maximus (Jupiter Highest, Greatest) as the patron deity of the Roman state, in charge of laws and social order. Jupiter is, properly speaking, a derivation of Jove and pater (Latin for father). The coin will be set in a plain 14k yellow gold custom bezel. Each coin is custom set upon receipt of your order. Expect the coin to ship 1 to 2 weeks from time of order. 100% Guaranteed Authentic!
